Scottish Panel Personal Injury Solicitor
Ross qualified as a solicitor in 1989.
His breadth of experience means he has handled claims ranging from those of a catastrophic nature to those of more modest value. These claims have covered the full spectrum of personal injury ranging from road traffic accidents to work injury claims.
Ross has a detailed knowledge of the Scottish courts process, being a regular litigator in both the Court of Session and the Sheriff Courts.
Ross's strengths include client contact, and being able to provide plain English guidance to clients as they make their way through the claims process.
He was the lead solicitor in the breakthrough medical negligence case of McLelland v Greater Glasgow Health Board (2001) SLT 446 (clarifying the law on wrongful birth and parental rights).
He was heavily involved in Duff v East Dunbartonshire Council (rep 28 June 2002) (clarifying the law on local authority responsibility in public spaces) and guided CW (a minor) and her family towards a £1m+ settlement following her head injury in a RTA when only 6 weeks old.
