Title Deeds are various paper documents that prove the current and historical ownership of property in the UK.
These documents can include contracts, conveyances, mortgages and leases.
Title Deeds gave now been largely succeeded by digital Official Copies registered at HM Land Registry.
There are still a few unregistered properties in the UK. Ownership of an unregistered property will be evidenced using the Title Deeds.
