Property Information Form (TA6)
The Property Information Form (TA6) is a standard form completed by the seller of the property at the beginning of the conveyancing process.
The form will usually be sent to the client by the solicitor along with the fixtures and fittings for, the leasehold information form (if applicable) and the solicitor's client care letter.
The form provides the buyer with detailed information about the property. As soon as it is completed by the seller it should be returned to the seller's conveyancing solicitor who will then forward it to the buyer's solicitor.
By solicitor will forward the completed form to the buyer for comments on this and the other forms.
It is a good idea to obtain a copy of this as soon as you put your property on the market. This enables you to complete the form in advance and avoid delays once you find a buyer.
If you are a seller completing the property information form, you are advised to do so as truthfully and accurately as possible. The property information form is a legal document and anything that you do not disclose in the form, where asked, could result in future legal action taken against you.
