Official Copies (a.k.a. Office Copies)

Official copies are documents held by HM Land Registry that evidence ownership of properties in the UK.

Official copies are essentially the replacement for Title Deeds.

Most properties in the UK are registered at HM Land Registry.  This information is in the public domain and Official Copies can be downloaded for  a nominal sum (around £4).

The Official Copies also include details of the lease, any rights and restrictions, charges over the property and planning documents.
