£110,000 awarded for for multiple fractures and depression after a road accident
A Quittance panel solicitor, Rakhi Chauhan, acted for a motorcyclist injured in a road accident.
The rider sustained a fracture of the metacarpal joints, fracture of the clavicle, soft tissue injuries, depression and a minor head injury.
Liability for the accident was not disputed. The claimant was employed as a warehouse chargehand before the accident and was earning a weekly income of circa £340.00.
Forced to leave work
As a result of the accident, he was unable to work and consequently was forced to leave his job.
The motorcycle accident claim settled for £110,000.
The compensation award included a claim for future loss of earnings, disadvantage on the open labour market, care claim and a claim for future cognitive behavioural therapy.
